Go on an Old West Cookout

Want to eat like the Yellowstone region’s early explorers did? Sign up for an Old West cookout.

Yellowstone National Park Lodge’s Roosevelt Old West Dinner Cookouts, near Roosevelt Lodge, is a meal and a memory you won’t soon forget. You’ll smell the cowboy coffee percolating over a campfire and steaks sizzling over a barbecue; feast on Roosevelt baked beans, potato salad, chuck wagon corn, coleslaw, corn muffins, watermelon, and apple crisp; and, if that’s not enough, this delightful meal is accompanied by music, storytelling, wranglers, horses and wagons.

Visitors can also enjoy an Old West cookout in Grand Teton National Park. Grand Teton Lodge Company offers lunch and dinner float trips, where you’ll dine on the banks of the Snake River, as well as breakfast and dinner cruises.

You can enjoy a “Covered Wagon Cookout” at the Grand Teton Park RV Resort, near Moran and the East Entrance of Grand Teton National Park.

  3. I would like some information on how to sign up for the old west cookout. We are going to be there in June, and this is one of our exciting excursions.
