Throughout the greater Yellowstone region, there are a number of nationally acclaimed breweries that offer superb food selections along with their award-winning brews. Snake River’s Jackson Hole operation opened its doors in 1994 and, since that time, has become the most award-winning microbrewery in the USA. With over 200 medals for brewing excellence, the brewers at Snake River pride themselves on making fresh, hand-crafted lagers and ales in traditional fashion. Patrons can view the centralized brewing process from anywhere within the restaurant, and tours of the brewery are given upon request or by appointment.
The restaurant offers a hearty pub-menu, featuring an exhibition kitchen along with a wood-fired pizza oven and fresh organic bread items baked daily. A seven-dollar lunch menu is available as well as a happening happy-hour, showcasing discounted beers and select menu items. Dinner is served until 11:00 pm and includes items such as pizzas, pastas, soups, salads, chipotle BBQ ribs, sandwiches and desserts made daily. Snake River Brewing/Cowfish Restaurant of Lander opened its doors in 2001 and has been recognized internationally for its beers. Situated downtown on Main Street within the historical Coalter Block, the brewery and restaurant co-mingle to provide patrons with fresh hand-crafted brews and inspired home-made cuisine.
Aptly named, the Cowfish focuses on choice cuts of meat including a variety of steaks, prime rib and hamburgers made from local natural beef, along with delectable pastas, chicken dishes and fresh fish served daily.
