HISTORIC 25TH STREET -THE CROSSROADS OF THE WEST
Just 40 minutes north of Salt Lake City, Ogden’s Historic 25th Street offers locally owned restaurants, shopping and galleries. At the foot of 25th is Union Station housing the Utah State Railroad Museum, the John M. Browning Firearms Museum, Eccles Rail Center, and the Browning-Kimball Car Museum, honoring Ogden’s railroad history as the Crossroads of the West.
Two blocks away is the Salomon Center boasting an IRock climbing facility, a Flowrider surf wave and an IFly sky diving tower. It’s an opportunity to extend your outdoor adventures – indoors! The building also includes a thirty-two-lane bowling alley, billiard room, an arcade with bumper cars and miniature golf, 2 restaurants and a sports bar.
Ogden is also has three great attractions for families with children including the Ogden Nature Center, The Treehouse Museum and the George C. Eccles Dinosaur Park.
If you need to stretch your legs, Ogden and Weber County have 210 miles of hiking and biking trails. The New York Times, Sunset, Ski, Outside and National Geographic Adventure all featured Ogden in articles in 2008 recognizing the community as a recreational mecca.
