Morning in Yellowstone

A steamy morning in Yellowstone

On the way to Old Faithful one morning I caught this sight out of the corner of my eye. It’s a good thing I had my boots with me as I trekked through the sticky ankle-high mud, but I was able to stabilize myself enough to get this shot. The sun is rising off to the left and you can still see some pink hues.

   • Hi Sue. October can be a great time to visit, especially with the animal activity. No tours by me, but I know there are some out there. I’ve always wanted to do a winter-time tour. David

3. Actually, you can get the same picture from the road. I have some from September that are exactly this shot and I was standing on the side of the road.

   • Helen – yes, this is very close to the road and it would have been a lot easier. I took this one in late September, so we might have been there at the same time. David

4. Looking to come out in May. We would like to see as much wildlife (big game) as possible. Any clues on where I should start to book?
