Mark Gocke
Mark Gocke grew up on the plains of Eastern Nebraska, where his love of wildlife and wild places naturally evolved into a passion for nature photography. Mark has been photographing semi-professionally for more than 10 years, and he works as an Education Specialist with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. “I think every nature photographer enjoys sharing the wonders of nature with other people,” says Mark. “But when you can use your photographs to inspire people to protect some critical piece of habitat — no matter how small — it takes it to another level. It’s very gratifying.”
Mark has received numerous photography awards, including two-time recognition by the North American Association for Conservation Information. Mark also has served as a contract photographer for Wyoming Travel and Tourism and leads nature photography classes and tours. His photos have appeared in a variety of exhibits, cards, calendars and publications including National Wildlife, Field and Stream, Peterson’s Hunting Journal, Sierra, Ranger Rick and Wyoming Wildlife, to name a few.
Mark currently makes his home in Jackson, WY, with his wife Lisa, son Jonah and daughter Emilie.
