By Staff,
Outdoor dining at Grand Targhee Resort.

Grand Targhee Resort is an intimate summer getaway for adventure seekers. Miles of lift-accessed hiking, running, and mountain biking trails await, plus renowned festivals and a variety of cultural and outdoor activities in a pristine, high-alpine environment.

Bears, pikas, marmots, mountain lions, elk, and moose live in the mountains around Grand Targhee. Head to the Naturalist Center in the main plaza to learn more about the critters and plants you might find in this ecosystem.

Ride the scenic chairlift

Ride the lift on Fred’s Mountain to 10,000 feet and enjoy the region’s most dramatic views of the Tetons, then an al fresco lunch on the plaza. The chair lift also accesses downhill biking trails for an exhilarating ride back.

In the summer, the Nordic trails in Rick’s Basin are transformed into a pristine singletrack trail system for cross-country biking. Downhill and EX mountain bikes are available for rent at Mountain Habitat.

The Targhee Music Festival features an eclectic mix of folk and modern performers, while the Targhee Bluegrass Festival includes the best in finger-picking talent every summer.

Grand Targhee Resort offer affordable rooms with Wi-Fi, pool and hot tub access, and activities—including chair lift rides and biking—right out the door. Disc golf, horseback rides, and a climbing wall are available in summer.
