Now Fly from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone

After a 30-year absence the West Yellowstone Airport once again has jet service from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone, starting on June 1, 2015.

The West Yellowstone News reported that after a 30-year absence the West Yellowstone Airport once again has commercial jet service. Daily jet flights from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone began on June 1, 2015.

Each of the new jet flights from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone is onboard a 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet operated by Delta Airlines. There are two daily flights Thursday through Monday and one daily flight on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With the new jet service in place, the West Yellowstone Airport could see as many as 600 jet passengers arriving per week during the summer with an estimated total during the summer of nearly 10,000.

According to the Delta website, the cost of a round trip ticket from Salt Lake City using the new jet service was $253 on June 1 while a round trip ticket from Salt Lake City to Bozeman was $584 on the same date.
