This Morning at Firehole Falls

Just above Firehole Falls in Yellowstone National Park

Another beautiful Yellowstone morning today. After a lull, I’ve been hearing more reports of animal sightings, including a group of wolves eating an elk carcass near Hayden Valley.

This shot was taken just above Firehole Falls, which is a two-mile turn off from the main road and worth the trip when you visit. When you leave the Firehole Falls road there is a small shoulder area where you can park and from here you can make your way down along the river, which is where I took this shot.
